I am introducing a new division of my photography. Once devoted solely to Weddings, and Advertising photography, I am expanding to Children's Outdoor and On-Location photography. For the past two years I have been employed with the CKPS studios, aka, Celebrity Kids, as a senior photographer, later promoted to master photographer. I ran the Outdoor division of the Celebrity Kids Studio. You can visit the website and view my CKPS work at www.ckpsonlocation.com/robin. As it happens for mosts photographers, there comes a time when one must take the plunge in to the delightful world of entreprenuership. I'll no longer operate at a CKPS photographer, now I'll operate my outdoor and on-location photography under Robin Allen Photography.

Claire

Wow~ We here in America are so blessed and take it so for granted!!!

I recently had the great privilege of hearing a wonderful story of how Claire Martin came to live with her new mom and dad, Keri and James. I learned about how sad life in China is for the poor and about child-rearing regulations. We here in America need to quit any and all whining EVER. We are so blessed to live in a free nation where any one person (regardless or race, creed, or gender) can choose for him or herself.... .. .. well, anything. We have choices. I can't imagine a life where my government instructs me not to have more than one child. I think Mr. Hannity is so right, we DO have the best health care system in the world! And I hope we as a nation don't choose to have anything less!

This is Claire, a lovely 3-year-old little girl.... Photographing this family was such a blessing!

Thank you kindly for the privilege of photographing your wedding day! The pair of you have been yet an other couple who have been so calm and collected in the midst of what can often become a chaotic, stressful day! I hope you love your images from all three of your sessions! And please remember that regardless of the fact your wedding day has passed - I'm still here to help with whatever comes along! We'll talk about the album when you get back from the honeymoon....

Congrats!

James and Rebecca

You two are so adorable together... I wish you all the happiness in the world!

Speaking of the world... I think everyone in the world needs to sit back, and take a lesson or two from James and Rebecca on how to be laid back, calm, and cool on your own wedding day!
The plan for the day was to enjoy a blissful late-spring outdoor wedding... Well, anyone familiar with Kentucky weather knows that planning anything outside is the ultimate risk! Well, June 13 proved no exception to our ever changing climate. The hours passed with clear blue skies, drizzle, and the occasional downpour. 6:00 crept closer with no guarantee of nice, sunny weather. Luckily, God did part the clouds for just enough time to wipe off the chairs, and have a beautiful ceremony!

With all the uncertainty for Rebecca and James to face, they couldn't have been cooler about the situation. They both knew that where they tied the knot didn't matter. The important thing was THIS WAS THEIR WEDDING DAY and nothing can take that away! Not even Friday-the-13th RAIN. I'm so proud of their great attitude. Hats off!

Congratulations to Dee and Michael!

Congrats Dee and Michael! You two are such a sweet couple - you'll definitely be happy together forever! Thank you for the honor of choosing me to photograph your wedding. I hope you love and cherish the photographs from your wedding always. Just watching how the two of you talk to each other, look at each other, anyone can tell you are two peas in a pod. Best of luck!

I heard Parker Pfister, a great photographer in North Carolina, speak on this very thing. He is a wedding photographer by trade and his past performance has caused him to be in great demand. Weddings are fast-paced, stressful, and sometimes not very rewarding, as you can imagine, so in order to keep himself fresh and excited about photography, he goes out to the streets of Asheville, or wherever he is, and photographs whatever he finds interesting. The homeless, random city sculptures, and early morning mist, to name a few, have acted as a honing stone to him for years. I think we can all learn from this no matter what we do from 9 to 5. We need to keep it fun and remember why we chose our profession in the first place.

An Esteemed colleague of mine and I ventured out to the lively streets of Lexington, Kentucky. This drastic change-of-style really lit a fire under me. see...

New baby at the Fladung house!

Memorial Day Weekend was a wonderful weekend for my family and me! My husband and I traveled home to see the whole family. It seemed like a miracle that we were all there! All the grandkids, and all the spouses, and even Dad got to come home from his job! I hated to leave them. In this photograph you can count the many wonderful people who have enriched my life and blessed me so much.

Bridal Sessions

Bridal sessions take place months, weeks or days before the wedding day - It's up to the couple. The bride wears her gown and is photographed in a relaxed atmosphere, after all - it's not the wedding day so the couple and photographer aren't pressed for time! I like to photograph at more formal settings for these sessions; in Lexington, Kentucky the Henry Clay Estate, Waveland, and Triangle Park are great places to shoot.

The bride can participate in the session alone or the groom is welcome, and encouraged, to join in. Many conventional mindsets aim to avoid the situation where the groom may see the dress. That's perfectly fine, but not having to make time for these photographs on the wedding day make the whole grand day much more enjoyable.

Carrie & Adam's Engagement Session ~ University of Kentucky Arboretum

Carrie and Adam are a delight. They love each other and their engagement pictures reflect that! The weather couldn't have been better - and to think, we almost rescheduled for rain! That only goes to show that when you live in Kentucky you can't count on the weather to stay the same ever! The UK Arboretum is a great place to shoot as well ~ I'd recommend this site to anyone!

Wilhoite head shots

Photographing adults is such a nice change from those delightful kiddos that usually grace my presence.
